A New Partnership Brings Breakfast, Santa, and Holiday Joy to the Community for a Good Cause.

The weather outside was frightful, but the Breakfast with Santa at Serious Pie was oh so delightful!

Over $1,400 was raised on Saturday, December 10, by a partnership of local businesses that care about Lake Washington School District students. Serious Pie Totem LakeThe Sweetside, and The Village at Totem Lake joined efforts to run a sold-out Breakfast with Santa event, with all proceeds benefiting local students through the work of the Lake Washington Schools Foundation.

Guests of all ages enjoyed a savory ham and egg biscuit and fruit cup, courtesy of the team at Serious Pie Totem Lake. To accompany this delicious meal, The SweetSide donated coffee and a hot cocoa self-service bar, which quickly became a favorite of many of the younger guests.

Present at the event was Foundation Board Trustee Jonathan Heuer, who took a moment to thank our partners and guests, and to share the work of the Foundation.

In addition to photo opportunities with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, highlights of the event include a cheerful entrance by Santa’s elves, and a rollicking performance with holiday jokes and puns by two festive characters on stilts.

And what would a holiday meal be without a lively singalong, led by Mrs. Claus and her friends to musical classics like Jingle Bells and Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

We are so grateful for the ingenuity and support of local businesses and families as we work to give all students what they need to access a high-quality education. May this joyous charity event be the first of many in the years to come!
