A Community Comes Together for LWSD’s Winter Toy & Clothing Drive

Our community came together in a big way for LWSD’s Winter Toy Drive and Clothing Drive, donating 800+ toys (8 pallets!) and 5 pallets of clothing to support students and families across the district.

Lake Washington Schools Foundation was proud to partner by helping collect monetary donations to purchase new toys, with a special thank-you to Modern Woodmen of America, whose generous matching support helped those dollars go even further.

We’re deeply grateful to the many donors and volunteers who made this possible, including Timberlake Church, Salvon Ahmed Safe House Foundation, Autumn Joy Griffin, LWHS DECA, JHS PTSA, Lynette Apley, LWSD district and custodial staff, volunteers across the district, and the schools and sites that hosted clothing drop-offs—LWHS, Eastlake HS, TESLA STEM HS, and the Resource Center.

Thank you for coming together to spread warmth, care, and holiday joy to students in the LWSD community.

Thank you to everyone who donated—contributions to this year’s toy drive are now closed, and your generosity helped bring joy to students and families across our community.

Help spread holiday cheer in our community this season by supporting the Lake Washington School District Winter Toy Drive. Your donation will make this season a little more special for children across our community.

Thanks to our generous matching donor, Modern Woodmen of America, all gifts will be matched in value up to $5,000! This means that your gift will go twice as far in bringing holiday joy to students across our community.

The Winter Toy Drive runs from November 1 to December 10. Gifts are needed for ages 5–18, with the biggest need being for children 13–18.
