Applications Being Accepted for LWSF Board of Trustees

Are you interested in serving and impacting over 30,000 students across the Lake Washington School District? Are you passionate about the work of Lake Washington Schools Foundation?

The Lake Washington Schools Foundation is looking to add new trustees to our governing board. LWSF raises funds and amplifies community resources to provide students in Lake Washington School District what they need to thrive, both now and in the future. We activate our mission through four focus areas: removing barriers, building connections, enhancing learning, and supporting wellness.

We are very interested in building our board with thoughtful, diverse candidates who have enthusiasm for the work we do, connections to local businesses and corporations, and the ability to help us expand our reach.

2023-24 Executive Committee

Irene K. Neumann moved to Kirkland in 2007 and raised her twin daughters in the LWSD. She is a long-time parent advocate for students, volunteering for over fifteen years as a Girl Scout leader, art docent and in PTA. Irene has a passion for community engagement and looks forward to bringing her experience to the LWSF.

Catherine Boeger is a Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, responsible for driving revenue, usage, and customer satisfaction objectives for Microsoft 365. She brings extensive leadership experience across the areas of marketing, sales, finance, and business strategy. With two teenage daughters in the Lake Washington School District, Catherine has been passionate about education throughout her life, drawing inspiration from her grandparents who were elementary and middle school teachers.

Jonathan Heuer has watched two daughters pass through three fantastic LWSD schools, sparking his interest in being of service to the entire district, where he has also volunteered as a college essay coach and an AVID tutor. He heads up marketing and technology for home improvement company HomeSquare and is currently serving as the President of the Kirkland Parks & Community Foundation.

Mindy Lincicome has been a part of the Lake Washington community for over 16 years, living in Redmond with her husband and their three children. After 20+ years of volunteering with school, church, Scouts and other community organizations, Mindy now works part-time in non-profit administration.

With 25+ years’ experience in her industry, Jana Koeberle is the Sr. Vice President of Retail Real Estate and Development for Kemper Development. Having had a positive experience raising two kids and being part of the community of Lake Washington School District, Jana has always been struck by the size of the district and the wide range of needs across the student population. She believes that creating resources to support the schools and the students is critical work.

Born and raised in the Snoqualmie Valley, Joan Krona has worked in the banking industry for over 15 years. She is currently Vice President, Division Operations Manager at Banner Bank, Metro WA. In her spare time, Joan enjoys reading books and engaging in various recreational outdoor activities.

2023-24 Trustees

Girish Joshi is a Global Technical Director at Microsoft with over 17 years of experience in software/services/products and global sales & strategy across a range of businesses in the Pacific Northwest and around the world. His personal interest in researching practical, innovative, and
effective ways to transform mental health allows him to make impactful change as a board member with NAMI Eastside, a volunteer with the homeless community, and a trustee with the Foundation.

Prashant Mishra, a serial entrepreneur and tech industry leader, has held notable positions including VP at Wells Fargo, EVP at Persistent Systems, and Development Manager at Microsoft. Presently, he serves as the CEO and Founder of Click2Cloud Inc., showcasing his ongoing commitment to driving innovation in the tech industry. Having successfully founded and sold two companies, he contributes extensively to tech nonprofits like TIE Seattle and Linux Foundation, with a focus on nurturing local entrepreneurship and advancing healthcare and agriculture.

With a personal connection to the Lake Washington School District, Prashant’s keen interest in joining LWSF’s board is fueled by their dedication to addressing children’s mental health issues and career readiness.

Having provided PTA leadership at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels, Jen O’Donnell brings a deep knowledge and understanding of the needs of students across the Lake Washington Schools District. With a background in social work practice and a heart for service and advocacy, Jen also serves on the board of Lake Washington PTSA Council and Washington State PTA.

Dan Ross is a partner at Hill Wallack LLP, where he concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, foreclosure, eviction, commercial real estate transactions and litigation. Dan earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and his B.A. in Business from the University of Washington.

Sudha Sharma feels a personal connection to the Lake Washington School District. Her breadth of experience as a parent, PTSA volunteer, and now an educator in the district grants her a unique perspective on the vast needs of the learning community. Sudha is also a certified Meditation and Yoga instructor.

Being a part of the Lake Washington community for 15 years, Xubei Zhang actively volunteers in several local non-profit organizations which promote parenting and family values. She believes that it takes a village to raise a kid.

The Lake Washington Schools Foundation is committed to doing the work to help achieve equity and justice for ALL of the students and families in our district. As a key partner to the Lake Washington School District, the Foundation embraces and has adopted the principles described in the recent statement from the LWSD Board of Directors. In particular:

“We believe that the lives of Black people do matter. We believe that it is our responsibility to condemn and speak out against discrimination, hate and racism.”

We know that this process requires listening, learning and action. We are actively working with the Lake Washington School District and our community to find meaningful ways to partner on this shared goal.
