Workshop Description

This workshop runs for multiple sessions.

Session 1: Cultivating Compassionate Self-Awareness

In this session, parents will learn how to cultivates aspects of compassionate self-awareness and engage in mindfulness exercise to practice this skill. You’ll deepen your understanding of your parenting identity and explore your core values as a parent.

Session 2: Strengthening Self-Management

In this session, parents will learn how to grow self-management skills: both to respond wisely to challenging emotions and to fully experience positive emotions.

Session 3: Growing Empathy

In this session we’ll take a closer look at how to strengthen our own capacity to empathize with our family members. We’ll practice advanced empathetic listening skills with each other and explore ways to help their kids cultivate this skill.

Session 4: Bringing it Home

In this last session, we’ll integrate learning from the previous sessions into a personal growth plan and explore specific strategies for helping our kids grow their self-awareness, emotional regulation and empathy skills.
